CityGRID Explorer

CityGRID Explorer is a project based visualisation tool that visualises high quality, interactive virtual reality simulations as a stand alone viewer.  Using the Explorer interface, clients can develop and share Explorer projects without limitation on numbers. Anyone familiar with a computer console will be able to use Explorer to navigate the model!

Explorer is not just a visualisation tool however and has the functionality to:

• Contain pre-defined interactive video tracks and vantage points
• Mutliple scenarios can be viewed within the same project, with users flicking between proposed options
• Video and rendering (image) output can be exported from Explorer – allows feed-back from the user community
• Point-cloud data from 3D laser scans can be incorporated, even if they contain several million points. This is very useful for rapid renderings (no modelling requirements) and is especially useful for illustrating street furniture and vegetation efficiently.
• Other powerful CityGRID Explorer functions include overview maps and measurement tools.
